Most of the Ohio University lots are available for free parking after 5pm. If you don't mind walking, you can park for free in an OU lot during evening hours.

Some people choose to live in Nelsonville specifically because they lack transportation. If you do not own a car in Athens County, only the cities of Athens and Nelsonville can provide you with the basic necessities of life within walking distance of your home.
