To the Editor:

On Sunday Secretary of Defense Esper defended the removal of Capt .Brett Cozier by saying “we hold leaders accountable for their actions."

All through the months of February and March, President Trump downplayed the magnitude of the coronavirus pandemic, even at one point calling it a media and Democrat hoax. He refused to allow the cruise ship to dock in the U.S. because he wanted to "keep the numbers low." He has consistently lied about testing and treatment options. He has delayed sending needed medical equipment and supplies to the states. He refuses to issue a national Stay-at-Home order. He blames everyone else for his failures and weaknesses. The list goes on and on and on.

Secretary Esper, isn't it time to "hold your leader accountable for his actions" or rather his inactions?
