Ohio University's new freshman class went through all of the traditional welcoming traditions Sunday afternoon. That included the annual First-Year Convocation delivered by President Duane Nellis in the Convocation Center, the march en masse up Richland Avenue to uptown, and finally, the Campus Involvement Fair on College Green, which spilled over onto West Union. The Marching 110 escorted the thousands-strong throng of youthful humanity up Richland, then serenaded them with inspiring band music during the fair. The Campus Involvement Center estimated that 4,000 to 5,000 students participated in the Campus Involvement Fair, with more than 350 student organizations signed up, the most ever.
