The Theater Division in the School of Dance, Film and Theater is presenting the second production of the 2018–2019 season, “365 Days/365 Plays.”

Written by Suzan Lori-Parks, the play is directed by visiting assistant professor Daniel C. Dennis and assistant professor Rebecca VerNooy. It will be presented in the Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater in Kantner Hall from Thursday through Saturday this week (Oct. 25-27) and next Tuesday through Saturday (Oct. 31-Nov. 3), all at 8 p.m.

According to a news release, Lori-Parks got the idea to write a play every day for a year. In her words, “It would be about being present and being committed to the artistic process every single day, regardless of the weather. It became a daily meditation, a daily prayer celebrating the rich and strange process of a writing life.”

The OU Theater production will feature a selection of playlets chosen from this collection.

The student cast includes Summer Finley, Aidan Tracy, Nate Perez, Stephanie Carrillo, Nick Slaughter, Morgan Austin, Philip Matthews, Manda Neal, DeVanté Malone, Janai Lashon, Connor Daugherty, Erik Armstong, Chiara Ridpath and Camila Benencia Courreges.

Through Arts for OHIO, tickets are free for OU students with a student ID. Regular tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for other students and seniors.
