The annual Athens Community Arts & Music Festival delivered a variety of attractions at various venues in uptown Athens on Saturday, with an outdoor music and arts festival on West Union the main attraction. While the weather was hot and muggy, it didn't seem to hold anyone back from having a good time. Check out this photo gallery of the event, with most of the photos taken by ACAMF co-organizer Scott Winland (whom we're grateful for contributing his good work). Winland put the festival together with co-organizer Kelly Lawrence and help from other key people.

During the event, a flash mob broke out between live sets to recorded music. According to Factory Street Studio Artistic Director Angelica Bell, "the mayor (Steve Patterson) initially had the idea, and then I actualized it. I hired Rhys Carr as the choreographer and co-coordinator of the event, and he made it the success that it was!"

The Athens Community Arts & Music Festival was presented by the Athens Municipal Arts Commission and the city of Athens and was sponsored by Hocking College, Stuart's Opera House, Jackie O's, Stewart-MacDonald, Athens Art Guild, Fusion Noodle, Hangover Easy, the Union Street Market, Casa Nueva, O'Bettys Red Hot and Class A Sounds.
