The City of Athens has made a number of changes to public parking recently including installation of smart parking meters, increases in parking rates, changes in paid parking hours, and soon a facelift for the parking garage, among others. These changes have stirred up quite a bit of public conversation in the local papers and social media. However, there is a method to the "madness."
