Letter: It’s our duty to know the ugly truths about potential president

To the Editor:
Evidence against Obama continues to mount. ACORN, Ayers, Wright, Rezko, Khalidi. These are his alliances spanning two decades, linked in a panoply of criminality and hatred for America.
Obama promises to punish corporations that send jobs overseas, while his own economic policies are designed to do just that. You cannot have punitive corporate and payroll taxation, with increased taxes on capital gains and dividends, without stunting capital investment, job creation and most Americans’ 401k’s.
Obama’s frequent references to redistribution of wealth clearly indicate his aim to exhume socialism from the failed ash heap of history. Socialism depresses initiative and economic growth, with oppressive taxation of society’s producers for redistribution to non-producers.
A president takes an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Obama cannot do this without lying to the country and Almighty God. In an interview with WBEZ Chicago on Sept. 9, 2001, he stated “…The Supreme Court… never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and the sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice...” and the Court “didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution…” In July 2007, he stated to Planned Parenthood that “empathy” (for various minorities) as the criteria by which he would select judges. Can his intention to trash our Constitution be clearer? The rule of law is the only basis on which judges may act. Economic and political considerations have no place in the Courts; this violates the separation of powers. The “constraints” instituted by the Founders are essential to secure our God-given liberties against unchecked executive power. Our form of government has promoted more freedom, more prosperity for more people than any in the history of mankind.
Bill of Rights? Consider the chilling signs of how far Obama is willing to go to silence dissent. Two TV stations in different states are now banned from the campaign due to their temerity in asking questions that might reveal Obama’s true agenda. Witness also the character assassination employed against Joe the Plumber.
Our duty is to know the truth of the person we make president. The negligent and corrupt national media collude with Obama to make this difficult, but it is our duty nonetheless. Obama has broadcast his appalling intentions clearly to all who choose to think, rather than feel, their voting decision.
