The Nelsonville Music Festival drew to a
close Sunday after drawing the biggest crowds in the event's 10-year
history over the four-day weekend, in which was yet another mainly fun,
safe, positive environment at the Hocking College Robbins Crossing
festival and campsite.
The fourth and final day of the Nelsonville Music Festival gets under way Sunday, with perhaps the best string of acts of the four-day extravaganza this afternoon on the Main Stage. It will have to be impressive to top the Saturday evening performances by the Head and the Heart and the Avett Brothers.
The Hitch-Hikers, a Nelsonville rock
band from the '60s, will be playing their fourth reunion benefit show
Friday night at Stuart's Opera House, with all proceeds going to the
Nelsonville Food Cupboard.
In an attempt to look toward the
future and sidestep a potential lost investment of millions of dollars,
Ohio University has declined to extend its lease on the nearly
100-year-old Monomoy Theatre in Chatham, Mass.
The Nelsonville Music Festival
announced some lineup additions last week to the festival schedule,
including the Bottle Rockets, MV and EE, and Dana Falconberry,
accoriding to a news release issued last week.
