A band with roots in Athens, the Burning River Ramblers, are
representing Cleveland in "Hard Rock Rising: Global Battle of the
Bands," a worldwide competition sponsored by Hard Rock Cafe.
The Little Cities of Black Diamonds Council and Historic Downtown Nelsonville Association have announced the lineup for the 11th
annual Little Cities Appalachian Spring Stage Show to be held at 7:30
p.m. this Friday at Stuart's Opera House. The educational theme for the
year is "Music of the Little Cities: Coal Dust, Culture and Cause for
Congregation," according to a news release.
The Smiling Skull Saloon, one of Athens' favorite dives, will be hosting
a "Solo Artist Extravaganza" this Saturday to showcase and support the
talent of seven local musicians.
Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville welcomes Rhonda
Vincent and The Rage back to the theater this Sunday, April 21, at 3 p.m. for a
special matinee show.

artwork of all stripes over the years, but its current exhibition shows
off the green thumb of five local photographers.
