The Hocking College Culinary Arts
students will host their annual Bourbon Street Bash, a Mardi Gras
celebration, at Rhapsody Restaurant on Nelsonville's Historic Square,
Feb. 26-28, each day from 4-10 p.m., according to a news release.
Feel like taking a trip back to the 1930s? Ohio University has your ticket. "Marathon
'33" has its second run of performances this week, with shows at 8 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday nights, Feb. 24-27, at 8 in the Forum Theater
(RTV Building) on South College Street.
Jorma Kaukonen, Rock 'n Roll Hall of
Famer and impresario of the Fur Peace Ranch in Meigs County, has
released another stellar album, featuring a variety of tunes, ranging
from his trademark country blues to new self-penned tunes with some
rockin' blues in the middle.
Last Friday, in Ohio University's Baker Theatre, a group of children
with colorful hair stood out from the dark mainly dark-haired audience.
Moving with the rhythm of the top hit Chinese song, "Little Apple,"
their energy spread over the stage.
The fifth annual Athens AM Rotary
Murder Mystery dinner theater is scheduled for this Friday at Nelson
Commons at Ohio University. Dinner and drinks will start an hour before
the 7 p.m. dinner and show.
Athens residents and OU students have a
new option if they want to "get their boogey on," according to Josh
Lewis, Red Brick Sports Pub resident DJ and booking agent. That place is
Club Underground, the recently repurposed basement of Red Brick.
