Evelyn L. Russell, 65, of Millfield, died Saturday afternoon, June 19, 2010 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Born November 4, 1944 in The Plains, she was the daughter of Pauline C. Tinkham Carr of Millfield and the late William F. Carr.

She was a 1962 graduate of Chauncey-Dover High School and helped start and operate Sweat Hollow Holstein Dairy Farm with her late husband, E. Riley Russell. She also was a former employee of the Millfield Post Office and was a member of Concord Union Church.

Edwin Dale (Buck) Perry, 75, Athens, gave up a hard fought battle with heart disease and peacefully passed away at his residence on Perry Road, Sunday morning June 20, 2010. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death.

Dale was born August 29, 1934, the youngest son of the late Garnet and Margie Woodrum Perry.

Irene Cline, 71, Albany, passed away Sunday June 13, 2010, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio.

Born July 25, 1938 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich Knoch and Margaret Diehl-Fey.   She was a homemaker and had retired from Athens Mental Health Center.

She is survived by children Jesse Knight of McArthur, Lola (Danny) Nelson of Albany, John (Stacy) Cline of Lancaster, and James Cline of Albany; seven grandchilden; five great-grandchildren; and a brother Carl (Ushie) Diehl of Germany.

Alice C. Robertson, 89, of Guysville, went to be with the Lord, Monday morning, June 14, 2010 at her home. Born March 12, 1921 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late David Charles and Pearl Rockey Hassink.

A graduate of Shaw High School (East Cleveland), she attended Kent State University. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Hocking Valley Bank and was a member of New Life Assembly of God. She and her husband moved to Guysville in 1979. Alice loved and enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

Alfreda West Goff

Alfreda West Goff, 94, passed away on June 9, 2010, at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village in Denton, TX. She was born on March 8, 1916 in Sugar Creek, OH. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth West.

Mrs. Goff was a retired elementary school teacher, having started her career in a one room schoolhouse in Millfield, OH. She later continued her career teaching in Avon Lake, Ironton, and Willard, OH. She earned her Associate's Degree from Ohio University and returned there to earn her Bachelors Degree in 1971. She spent the 70 years of her married life serving the ministry of her late husband, the Rev. Drell H. Goff, with the Church of the Nazarene.

Gilbert Wayne Lovsey

Gilbert Wayne Lovsey, 61, of Albany, died unexpectedly, Sunday, May 30, 2010 at his home. Born March 9, 1949 in Athens, he was the son of the late Harrison G. and Frances E. Carmen Lovsey.

A 1967 graduate of Alexander High School, he retired from Southern Ohio Coal Company. He was currently employed at McKee Auto Parts. He was a member of Constitution Lodge 426 F&AM, Aladdin Temple Shrine, K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion, AMVETS Post 93 Albany, FOE Aerie 2279 McArthur, UMWA Local 1857 and a life member of VFW Post 9893 Albany.
