To the Editor:
Ohio Gov. Kasich says get on the bus or get run over. People who have the power to protect us from harm are asleep at the wheel, even after years of pleading with them to wake up and see that science was right: burning more hydrocarbons will terminate life as we know it.
We can refuse to go along for the wild ride of extreme extraction by incompetent, irresponsible drivers. Morality demands that we not put our children's future in the hands of reckless, pedal-to-the-metal, blinded-by-greed, dizzy-with-power-energy addicts. The safest, sanest thing we can do right now is slow down the destruction.
If we can't get off the bus, at least we can do what other brave Americans have done in the face of domestic terror: foil the plan of those who would destroy our way of life for their own glorification.

We need to end the subsidization of fossil fuels, and start real investment into renewables!
