“"Mass shootings occur in places the shooter knows no one will be able to fight back. Preventing gun ownership of everyone will only make sure that criminals have guns. It's not the gun culture. It's the postmodern left-wing culture of no morals, no consequences, no right and wrong.”"
Danged anti-fracking hippies:
"The university has managed to keep this area poor for over 50 years, and now they have the hippies helping to run off my business with their 20-mile limit. I suppose with one of their own in the courthouse now that's just another feather in their cap to keep us poor for another 100 years so the university can have a cheap work force."
Quitting over Christmas music:
"To the lady who quit her job due to the uptown holiday music, 'Goodbye!' If that's all you have in your life to complain about, you're doing pretty good. Don't let the door hit you in the… Have a good trip."
"The loopholes in the law are evident in Connecticut, which has a state assault weapons ban modeled closely on the lapsed 1994 federal ban, said Ladd Everitt, spokesman for the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. The Connecticut law bans certain assault weapon models that combine multiple features, such as a pistol grip and a barrel shroud, which increase a gun's lethality."
"Connecticut has some of the strictest gun laws in the country; they have an assault weapons ban. Those teachers were unprotected sitting ducks and the shooter knew this. Rules for radicals: Never let a good crisis go to waste."
Gun violence: "Guns are not the enemy, the NRA is. They have effectively bought off our politicians to the point that any type of gun control is impossible. The senseless slaughter will continue."
Christmas music quitter:
"Dear person who's 'literally' packing up and hitting the road just because of the Christmas music; How do you plan to leave, by bus? 'Cause you sure don't sound mature enough to have a driver's license! Oh, by the way, don't let the door hit you in the a--!"OU employee arrested for alleged threats:
"Greetings: Over reaction or proper concerns, America is changing before our eyes. Reason enough, never threaten anyone under any condition. Gone are the days of free speech."
"I don't like the idea of owning a gun, but I can't imagine living in a country that would tell me what I can or can't do and one that would take away the public's rights whenever they please. Our country at least has freedom of speech and the right to vote your decisions. That is exactly why things aren't so simple. I suppose if it was, we wouldn't even be allowed to voice our opinion, because the decisions would be up to the government."
"I don't want to have to always live with the risk of children being mowed down by an assault rifle because a few thousand people want to own an AK-47. The only way a nut job gets a hold of weapons like that is because we have a system that lets it happen, time and time again."
Pending climate holocaust:
"Christmas is still nine days away and I've already had way too much fruitcake!"College of Education:
"A few weeks ago I read the article about another (yet another!) lawsuit being filed against the College of Education administration and other OU administrators. I'm wondering how many additional lawsuits and allegations of misconduct need to be filed against this college and its administration before someone with a shred of journalistic integrity begins to take a very serious look at what's going on in that college."
"As I was driving on Rt. 50/32 toward Albany this afternoon, a sheriff's vehicle came up on me very fast. He had NO LIGHTS OR SIRENS going. I maintained my speed at the posted 60 mph and could not move over to the right since there were other cars traveling in that lane. I checked the rear view mirror and found that he was 'tailgating' in an unsafe manner. He placed me in danger and caused me to panic at the fact that he was 'pushing' my car to move out of his way. I found an opening and signaled to move to the right, as I did (the car) zoomed past like he was the only one on the road... It happened again when I was heading home, same car, same deputy. Next time this happens, I will call the State Highway Patrol."
