Billboards aren’t telling the truth about President Obama and coal

To the Editor:

I have seen some billboards in our area that greatly disturb me because of their false attacks on President Obama and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's stance on coal.

Actually, coal – which now supplies 40 percent of the nation's electricity – is part of the president's plan to develop all of this nation's domestic energy sources. President Obama wants to continue use of this abundant energy source.

In 2011, coal-mining employment hit a 15-year high. At the end of that year, there were nearly 60,000 jobs in the coal industry in Appalachia – the most since 1997.

Obama cares! Obamacare provides that miners who have worked at least 15 years don't need to prove what caused their black lung disease in order to receive their benefits.

Don't fall for the GOP's partisan attacks.

Refrence to James, Adam and rocker2,

Attended any mandatory Romeny politcal rallies without pay lately, quite a few coal miners have.
