Photo Caption: Simona Aizicovici, artist and owner of Handmade by Simona, submitted this image for the upcoming exhibit “Connections 2: Local Artists Exhibit at OU Campus.” The exhibit opens September 10th and will feature seven area artists. A reception will be held September 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. as a chance for viewers to meet the artists.

The exhibition is in concert with events at over 50 other southern Ohio venues and is coordinate by FOTOFOCUS, a Cincinnati base non-profit organization which celebrates the role of photography and lens-based art in contemporary culture. MON/Sept. 10 - FRI/Dec. 7: "Connections 2," an exhibit at OU's Multicultural Center Gallery, Baker Center, that includes pieces by local artists made through unconventional methods such as pressed flowers, pine needle baskets and corn husk dolls.
