To the Editor:
To whoever stole my laptop computer from my car on June 10: Why on earth did you take an older, somewhat beat-up Dell computer without the power cord? It's also password-protected. No pawn shop would want this. It's next to worthless to you, unless you're pretty computer-savvy, in which case, why would you want it anyway? Are your fingers just so sticky that you can't resist being some kleptomaniac low-life?
It's not like you just stole a thing. You stole a real chunk of my life. And that's the lowest kind of thief, someone who steals part of someone's life. I had many files on there I use in my volunteer work, as well as personal stuff. I really can't afford a new one. It's not like you stole this from a rich person. But I tell you what: return it. PLEASE. You can just drop it off anonymously at either the Athens Public Library or the Glouster Public Library, and I'll get it back.
