Nora- Jean Parsons Spriggs

Nora-Jean Parsons Spriggs, 73, of Belpre, died on Friday, June 8 atat Camden Clark Medical Center – St. Joseph Campus. She was born in Guysville, OH on February 13, 1939 to the late Herbert and Mary Ann Dalton Parsons.

Nora-Jean worked at Bob Evans for the past 12 years as a hostess. She enjoyed meeting and talking to people who came in to eat and being with her co-workers. She loved spending time with her family and friends and having fun.

She is survived by daughter; Ouida Spriggs of Columbus, OH, son; Charles W. Spriggs (Lim) of Parkersburg, son; Davy Spriggs of Belpre, and daughter; Natasha Spriggs of Belpre, four grandchildren; Whitny Chipps (Cody), Jordan, Bridgett, and Tabitha Spriggs, one great- grandchild; Kaliyah Spriggs, three sisters; Florence Mayle of Cutler, OH, Hazel Hill (Myron) of Guysville, OH, and Joan Stevens (Bill) of Columbus, OH, one brother; Herbert Parsons (Barbara) of Cutler, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years; Charles William Spriggs Sr., three sisters; Genevive Mayle, Agnus Parsons, and Helen Parsons, and one brother; William Parsons.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 12 beginning at 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Cutler. Visitation will be Monday, June 11 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11-12 pm.
