Good job by Phillips in covering speech by Roger Ailes at OU
To the Editor:
I congratulate you on the very complete and thorough reporting done by Associate Editor Jim Phillips on the recent visit and speech given by Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News. It is interesting that neither The Athens Messenger nor the Ohio University Post provided anywhere near adequate coverage of the May 21 George Washington Forum presentation by Ailes. He is not only an Ohio University alumnus, but perhaps the most influential person in cable news today. Their lack of fully reporting is very disappointing. However, your coverage and Mr. Phillips' reporting would probably receive from Mr. Ailes a "fair and balanced" kudos, much perhaps to the consternation of your staff and your customary political editorial stance. Nonetheless, you outdid your competition once again. Well done!
