Why not develop a regular bus line from Athens to Nelsonville?

To the Editor:

I wanted to propose the establishment of a busing transportation system between Nelsonville and Athens. This is important because of Ohio University students living in Nelsonville and for Hocking students living in Athens. The need is there. Community members living in Nelsonville come to Athens for many events, including free lunches, church events and most importantly, valuable agencies (Job and Family Services, Health Recovery Services, the Gathering Place, etc.). Lastly, people living in Nelsonville who are looking for work in Athens will benefit from this busing addition.

Please take this into consideration. It would improve the lives of many living in both Athens and Nelsonville.

Sincerely,

Celia Joyce
Athens
