County auditor should continue to manage county finances
To the Editor:
I can't understand what all of the "hullabaloo" with this matter (the argument about outside funds in county offices) is all about. The first response from the State Auditor's office was, "It is permissible… but it is a management decision."
And the permissible part came from the Ohio Attorney General's Office to the State Auditor's Office. As far as I am concerned, what is at issue here is the fact that Jill Thompson is the manager of the Auditor's Office. And if she is, case closed. Or maybe the prosecutor can't take no for a answer. I hope he doesn't have the Supreme Court on Speed Dial.
