Walter James Robb II, 70, Albany, went to be with the Lord, February 7, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Born January 27, 1942, in Granville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter Sr. and Dorothy G. Proctor Robb.
Walter II graduated from Newark Catholic High School, was a army vetern, a CPA serving the banking industry over 30 years, was founder of Freedom Road Ministries, and a member of K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Giovana Robb; children Rita (Joe) Chapman, of Springfield, Monika (Sam) Bennett, of Albany, Dorothea (Rupert) Lean, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Lindy (Mike) Douglas, Walter III (Marsha) Robb, Maria (Ralph) Scarmack, Natascha (Jason) Hayes, and Elizabeth Kish, all of Albany; 14 grandchildren; children raised in his homeHeather and Nick Stachler of Athens; mother of his children and a special friend Rita Robb; a sister Dorothy (Merlin) Gage; brothers Patrick (Francis) Robb, Joseph Robb, and Jeff (Becky) Robb.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grand-daughter Allie Douglas, and a great-granddaughter Angel McGuinnis.
The family will have a private service.
