Timothy Charles 'Jethro' Browning,
Timothy Charles "Jethro" Browning, 58, of Nelsonville, died Saturday evening, January 21, 2012 at OSU Hospital, Columbus. Born June 5, 1952 in Lockhart, S.C. he was the son of the late Charles W. and Margaret Virginia Brown Browning, he was the third of twelve children.
A graduate of Federal Hocking High School and Hocking College with a degree in culinary arts, he was employed as a cook at area restaurants.
He is survived by his ex wife, Mari Anne Gordon and his daughter, Billie Jo; Siblings- Nancy Purvis of Nelsonville, Margaret Rodgers of Aurora, CO, Robert Browning of Corona, Calif., Patricia Frost of Stewart, Sara Lee of Florida, Fatima Sheik of Seattle, Wash., Mary Bernard of New Straitsville, Debora Browning-Prock of Ft. Myers, Fla., Benjamin Browning of Athens and Martha Macy of The Plains; several nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother John Browning.
Friends may call Tuesday 2-3 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Graveside service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Kilvert Cemetery, Rome Twp., Athens Co.
