Charles L. Lee

Charles L. Lee, 72, of Athens died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 10, 2012 at OBleness Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1939 in Obetz and was the son of the late Everett and Florence Carolyn Burnside Lee.

He was a graduate of The Plains Highschool and part owner/operator of Lee Trucking. He was also a social member of the VFW of The Plains.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth; five children, Robert (Sherry) Lee of Chauncey, Rita Lee of Athens, Jackie (Rick Hixson) Lee of Albany, John (Trish) Lee of Athens and Mark (Chelsie) Lee of Athens; six grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters, Sharon (Richard) Perry of Athens and JoAnn VanDyke of Athens; one brother, Everett (Ruth) Lee of Athens.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Mayles; grandson, B.J. Lee; two brothers-in-law, George VanDyke and Terry Mayles.

Services will be Friday at 7 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Stan West officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home for burial expenses.
