MUSIC

THU/Sept. 9: Stuart's Opera House presents the final installment of its free Summer Music Series, with The Hot Seats (formerly Special Ed). 7 p.m. in the parking lot across from the Opera House. (Rain moves the event indoors.) Beer garden.

SAT/ Sept. 11: Infamous String Dusters as a part of the Fur Peace Ranch's "Bluegrass BBQ" benefit for the American Red Cross. Gates open 6 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m. Fur Peace Ranch, Meigs County.

SAT/Sept. 11: Boxcar Burlesque presents the first annual "Hobo's Holiday, a Burlesque & Music Festival. 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Eclipse Company Store in The Plains. Featuring Rattletrap String Band, a screening of the documentary "Who is Bozo Texino?"; local bands The Elbow Claps, Queen Bee and The Honeydon'ts, The Sundresses out of Cincinnati, and North Carolina's Woody Pines. FRI/Sept. 17-Sun/Sept. 19: 12^th annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival. Three days of pawpaw music, food, contests, art, history, education, sustainable living workshops an activities for kids. PRESENT SUN/Jan. 16: The challenging world of artist Harvey Breverman, which offers a wealth of unpredictable and captivating imagery, will be featured at Ohio University's Kennedy Museum of Art.

PRESENT-SAT/OCT. 9: Ohio University Ceramics Invitational 2010. Ceramics exhibition organized to highlight wood-fired ceramics. Trisolini Gallery.

TUES/Sept. 14- SAT/Nov. 20: Burhan Dogancay: Urban Walls. Fascinated by urban walls, Turkish born artist Burhan Dogancay, captures the markings left by people as his subject matter. Ohio University Art Gallery.
