ART:

Starbrick Cooperative Gallery presents "Two Potters and a Painter. Sue Hazen and Maryann Limmer, ceramic artists, and Margaret McGee, a painter, work together to express their thoughts on the South African Ndebele Indian Art. Exhibit runs through March 20.

Celebration: The Ohio University Program Council and Black Student Cultural Programming Board are hosting the second annual "Slice of Athens" event for students, faculty and staff. 1-4 p.m. at South Beach, in front of the Front Four dorms, OU. Memorial: From 9 p.m. Friday through Saturday afternoon (Sept. 11), the Ohio University College Republicans will honor their fellow Americans who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with a vigil on College Green. "All are invited to come pay tribute and remember those who lost their lives and to honor the families of those individuals, as the emergency response teams who worked tirelessly through our country's time of great need.
Film: UnionArts, 15 W. Union St., hosts a new film by Bill Daniel (who filmed "Bozo Texino") called "Sonic Orphans." It features lost and found music films from 1965 to 1987. The 65's will play afterwards.

Festival: Boxcar Burlesque presents the first annual "Hobo's Holiday, a Burlesque & Music Festival. 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Eclipse Company Store in Historic Dogtown. The Plains. The event starts kicks off with Rattletrap Old Time String Band and a screening of the documentary "Who is Bozo Texino?"
