"¢ The Athens County Sheriff's Office wants information regarding the break-in at Rite Aid Pharmacy in The Plains. During the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 1, an unknown person or persons entered the business after hours and took several types of prescription medication.

"¢ The Nelsonville Police Department wants information regarding the strong-armed robbery of a Nelsonville resident. On Wednesday morning, Dec. 9, at approximately 6:35 a.m., a woman was walking to work in front of 443 Chestnut St. when she was assaulted. The police report indicates that she was knocked to the ground and her purse forcibly taken from her. The suspect was described as a possible white male, medium to skinny build, wearing a hat or toboggan and a dark jacket that came down to his knees. After the suspect fled, the victim made her way to McDonald's where she informed employees of what had taken place and the police were called.

"¢ On Thursday morning, Nov. 20, a residence on West Union Street in Athens was entered by an unknown person while the occupants of the home were gone. The house was gone through, and one of several items stolen was the set of keys that belonged to a vehicle of one of the residents. Upon leaving the residence, the unknown person took the resident's vehicle, a Ford Explorer, and used it to force the rear door open on the Happy Cat drive-through. Upon being confronted, the unknown person fled the Happy Cat through the attached car wash and prior to turning onto West Union, struck the wall of the carwash. This resulted in extensive damage to the carwash and the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned on Shafer Street. The Athens Police request that anyone with information contact Crime Solvers Anonymous.

"¢ The Glouster Police Department is seeking information in regard to a bank robbery on Monday, Dec. 28.
