This Saturday, Stuart's Opera House is hosting "œA Night With the Legends," an evening of tribute performances from local celebrities.
The event sold out last year and organizers are urging people to get their tickets early this year. The 2009 edition will feature tribute performances of Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Reba McEntire, Emmylou Harris, Aretha Franklin and more!
Alex Couladis of Athens, who works as a CPA and business development consultant, is renowned locally for his impersonations of Elvis and Vanilla Ice. He also has organized fund-raising events for the USO and Shade Community Center.
For "A Night of the Legends," Couladis gathered a group of local celebrity vocalists who will perform Saturday night. In addition to Couladis, entertainers will include J. W. Smith, Jeannie Jeffers, Joann Wolfe, Bill L'Heureux, Andy Stone, Tanyah Stone, Annah Korpi, Sylvester Young, Jeff Redefer, Bill Rawlins, and more.
The evening will feature tribute performances of Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, Reba McEntire, Emmylou Harris, Aretha Franklin, The Andrews Sisters, The Blues Brothers, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Travis Tritt, Hank Williams Jr., and a few more special guests. All of the performers have donated their time and talent, with proceeds benefiting Stuart's Opera House.
