Donald M. Mace, age 85, of Louisville, formerly of Albany died Thursday morning, April 17, 2008 at Canton-Aultman Hospital, Canton. Born July 26, 1922 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Rome & Rosa Young Mace.
He attended Waterloo High School and retired from Tenneco Gas Transmission Company in Albany. He was active in the Albany Independent Fair and was a member of Albany Grange #1611 since 1952.
Donald is survived by his children- Victoria Morris and fiancé Robert Sforza of Newark, Donald James (Nita) Mace of Seneca, S.C., and Paulette Mace of Louisville; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a brother Joe Mace of Michi, Tennessee.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Lowther Mace in 2002; two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday 1:00 PM at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens by Rev. James Lambert with burial in Alexander Cemetery, Hebbardsville. Friends may call Tuesday 7-9PM at the funeral home.
