Dairy Barn to host big ritzy affair

The Dairy Barn Arts Center is hosting its 16th biennial Art & Leisure Auction, “An Evening in Moonet’s Garden,” this Saturday, May 10. There will be both a live and a silent auction.

The event and silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., and the live auction will begin at 8 p.m. Auction services are sponsored by Shamrock Auction Services, with Pat Sheridan as auctioneer. Paige Alost of the Athens County Convention and Visitors Bureau will be the master of ceremonies.

“An Evening in Moonet’s Garden” will feature a buffet and desserts catered by Hocking Culinary Institute, as well as a cash bar. Dress is semiformal or optional black tie. Reservations are required. Call the Dairy Barn Arts Center at 592-4981 to make a reservation, or for more information.

Among the artists featured will be Tom Bennett, Kenner Bush, Mary Gates Dewey and Dairy Barn founder Harriet Anderson.

All proceeds from this event go to the exhibitions and programming at The Dairy Barn Arts Center.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this organization with state tax dollars.
